2. Essential qualifications: Minimum 55% in M.Sc. / M.Tech or equivalent degree in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics. The candidate, who are in last semester of their M.Sc. / M.Tech Degree or equivalent may also apply. Preference may be given to the candidates with proven research experience & field knowledge as per requirement of the project.
3. Desirable: Candidates having experience and knowledge in large data handling (satellite data and satellite data products, Census, NSSO, meteorological data etc.), with working knowledge of Hyperspectral/ Microwave Remote Sensing, R, Python, MATLAB software(s), GPS, DGPS etc., and Forest/ Geology/ Flood field survey will be preferred
4. Description of the positions and emolument: Rs. 25000 + HRA for 1st and 2nd Year and thereafter Rs. 28000 + HRA for 3rd Year as SRF. Candidates, with M. Sc. Degree and without NET if selected, will be paid @ Rs.16000/- + HRA per month for initial two years and Rs. 18000 + HRA for the remaining periods with the designation of Project Fellow/ Senior Project Fellow respectively. HRA shall be paid as per the University rules.
5 .Duration: The fellowship will be offered initially for a period of Six months, which can be extended further depending upon performance of the candidate.
6. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: JRF/ RF will be responsible to carry out various image processing activities and GIS analysis. The team will also perform the extensive field activities related to project as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
