Oil India limited has issued a notification inviting applications from interested, eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of senior assistant and junior assistant. The PSU has taken this initiative under the special recruitment drive for persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Educational qualification:
Senior assistant- Interested candidates must be a graduate in any discipline from a government recognised university.
They should have certificate of shorthand in English, with minimum speed of 80 words per minute (WPM) and computer typing with a minimum speed of 30 words per minute.
The candidate should have a minimum six-month diploma/certificate in computer application.
Junior assistant- Candidates applying for the post should have passed class 10+2 or equivalent in any stream from a government recognised board/university.
They should have a minimum six-month diploma/certificate in computer application.
The candidate must know computer typing with a minimum speed of 30 words per minute.
Selection procedure:
The selection procedure is divided into two stages– stage 1 and stage 2.
Senior assistant- Candidates have to obtain minimum 50 percent marks in the written test (Stage 1) to qualify for computer operation skill test (Stage 2). The candidate has to obtain 50 percent marks to qualify stage 2. The final selection, however, will be made on the basis of marks achieved in stage 1 only.
Junior assistant- Candidates have to obtain minimum 50 percent marks in the written test (Stage 1) to qualify for shorthand and computer operation skill test (Stage 2). The shorthand and computer operation skill test comprises two parts– shorthand and computer operation. The candidate has to individually obtain 50 percent marks in each part to qualify stage 2. The final selection, however, will be made on the basis of marks achieved in stage 1 only.
Pay scale:
Senior assistant- The selected candidate will draw a salary of Rs 15,000/-
Junior assistant- The selected candidate will draw a salary of Rs 12,000/-
Age limit:
For candidates belonging to general category, the minimum age is 18 years and maximum is 40 years.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, the minimum age is 18 years and maximum is 45 years.
For candidates belonging to OBC (non-creamy layer) category, the minimum age is 18 years and maximum is 43 years.
